Partial Coast Guard Muster; The National Archives recently turned over most of the ship microfilm musters to
Ancestry.com. This was unfortunate for some professional researchers, although it made it easier for families to locate
veterans on the Internet.  *It's worth mentioning the Thomas Stone was officially a Navy transport which was
converted from the passenger liner, Van Buren. We see here; *by the amended muster form, they were not
prepared for the Coast Guard's arrival, as the Navy muster form is corrected to show Coast Guard personnel. 2
